It’s extremely important that we source ethically produced materials for every bespoke kitchen we create, our timber is from managed forests and any off cuts are used to make kindling – ensuring no timber waste at all.

NATURAL CHOICES
We believe that nature provides the most beautiful and durable raw materials with which to make our kitchens and furniture.
We source ethically produced materials and finishes with minimal environmental impact.
Choosing the best that nature has to offer ensures our kitchens will give a lifetime of service.
MANAGED FORESTS
We use mature timber from managed forests. Timber from Canada takes time to grow in the cold environment but is far superior in quality to European equivalents. Waiting pays dividends and the Quebec Yellow pine we use for our carcasses is used for pattern making elsewhere as it is so stable.
Off cuts are used to make kindling ensuring no timber waste at all.
RAW PLANKS
Our planks are all dried to 12% humidity to ensure they are suitable for use in a kitchen environment. This means they are even suitable to be used around an AGA, and knowing our timber has been properly prepared, we manufacture our kitchen carcasses using only solid timber joined using traditional and natural methods.
HAND MADE
Our kitchens and furniture evolved from a cabinet making background and to this day every single component of our kitchens is sawn, shaped, planed and sanded by hand. The natural way takes a little longer but ensures a kitchen with unrivalled durability and refinement.
HAND FINISHED
In order to produce our deep lustrous finish our painted kitchens receive at least five brushed coats of environmentally considerate water based paint.
Our timber kitchens are treated with at least three coats of Top Oil rubbed deeply into the grain.
It takes expertise to produce our beautiful natural finishes but they are fully serviceable, are kind to the environment and will protect your kitchen for many years to come.
